However, there are traces of restoration: much has been lost, and sometimes the columns look like concrete interspersed with ancient fragments. There are problems with toilets: there are few of them, they are dirty, they are paid and they only accept cash. It is also very hot, and not everywhere you can hide from the sun. Nevertheless, the experience is unforgettable. This is probably one of the most epic places in Egypt after the pyramids. Dear friends! Now it's time to tell you about the Karnak Temple, another creation of the Egyptians. I'll tell you about the most interesting😊 The temple combines the three gods of ancient Egypt: the god Amon-Ra, the goddess Mut (his wife) and their son Khonsu. At the entrance to the complex, you will be greeted by sphinxes: the alley of sphinxes previously connected the bank of the Nile with the temple of Amon-Ra. Today you can see only a small part of them here. On the territory of the temple complex there are 134 relief columns 23-25 meters high and 8-10 meters in diameter! Personally, I can't even imagine HOW it's even possible to build such a thing! 🫣It is also worth noting that Karnak Temple is included in the UNESCO World Heritage List and is the world's largest open-air museum. There are many more interesting things here: pylons, obelisks, painted ceilings and walls, a sacred lake and much more. You definitely won't see this anywhere else, so be sure to visit this place!🫶
