This is my third time visiting the hotel. Cozy territory, the food is simply beyond praise - sushi and rolls. It's a bit of a walk to the sea, but it's worth it - the best beach, I think. A cheerful team of animators gives emotions all day long, actively fun and for every taste.

The overall impression of the hotel is 5. We were at the hotel in mid-September 2025. The Jaz Saraya Hotel is part of the Madinat Makadi group of hotels (single-owner hotels): 1. First line: Jaz Makadina, Jaz Makadi Tui Blue, Iberotel Makadi beach, 2. Second Line: Jaz Makadi Star & Spa, Jaz Makadi Saraya, Jaz Makadi Oasis, Jaz Makadi Gardens Tui Blue 3. Third Line: Jaz Makadi Saraya Palms 4. It is necessary to go to the sea by bus for 15 minutes: Jaz Aquaviva with a water park and Steigenberger golf course. You can easily move around any of the hotels. Madinat looks like a small town, in the center of which there is a road leading to each of the hotels. She's quiet, cars rarely drive. Visually, these hotels are very similar to each other, like twin brothers, except that the lines in relation to the sea are different. Jaz Saraya is located on the second line, you need to walk 10 minutes to the sea, a maximum of about 600 meters from the farthest building, 300 m from the nearest one. The distance didn't bother me much, it was necessary to somehow shake up the results of the buffet :) Location of buildings The closest buildings to the sea are located along the road, but you need to be prepared that in the evenings before 23:00 it can be noisy, especially in the courtyard area, between Blue Cafe and Shisha Bar, there is evening activity. (2201-2204, 2210-2216, 2224-2241, 2250-2255, 2270-2275, 2260-2266, 8101-8213) The hotel is frequented by Europeans, mostly Germans. At the end of the vacation, an influx of native Russian tourists was noticed) Staff The staff is very attentive and in touch. He understands Russian well, and he can talk about the main issues. They were warmly welcomed at the reception, explained everything, and helped set up Wi-Fi, as for some reason it was not immediately possible to connect. It's a matter of 15 minutes, everything is fast. By the way, the Internet is good throughout the hotel and even on the beach, there are Wi-Fi distribution stations everywhere. Territory and garden The territory is very well maintained, green, lots of flowers. The vegetation is carefully monitored, there has not been a day that we have not seen the gardeners at work, constantly cutting, cleaning, watering (even at night, we saw when we went on an excursion at 4:00 in the morning) The shops There are a lot of small shops on the territory of the hotel, the sellers can be intrusive, but these are Egypt, it's like this everywhere, I would even say that it's even worse outside the hotel :) we bought a mask for a snorkel with a built-in tube and a separate tube for $ 20. You have to bargain with everyone. There is also a market with food and water, a foreign sanction :) Here you can buy oriental sweets, all kinds of ficini with chocolate-covered nuts, halva, and lukum for gifts. The price of a pack is 5-6.5 $, at the airport it is similar for 20 $. There is a pharmacy on site. The sea, the "home" reef The most convenient way to get to the beach from Jaz Saraya is to go to the reception or the road, then take the road between the hotels Jaz Makadina, Jaz Makadi Tui Blue. For the most expensive hotel, Jaz Makadina has its own private beach, for the rest of the "Jazzes" it has its own separate beach. On the left side there is a more convenient entrance to the sea, and near the Iberotel there are small stones near the shore. I liked the sea 100%. Warm, clean, and beautiful. In September, the water temperature is +29. The beach is sandy. The approach is smooth, without sudden changes, 15 meters from the shore there is a small strip of depression along the shore, then there is a shoal (you can safely get up - the water is waist-deep) and a reef with corals and fish. In fact, it can be reached almost by water on foot. I like this proximity of the reef very much, because I'm afraid of the depths. In good weather, you can swim around it, the depth is a maximum of 5 meters, if it is windy, the rescuers are not allowed to swim behind the reef, but it can be explored from the beach, closer to the shoal. I liked the reef, but there is nothing to compare it with, it was the Red Sea that I visited for the first time. I saw colorful corals of different shapes, and different colored fish (butterfly fish, parrot fish, flute fish, ball fish, spinogog, napoleon fish, surgeon fish, lionfish, rhinoceros fish, starfish, sea urchins, etc.), I saw stingrays (the largest is about a meter excluding the tail), moray eels and cuttlefish. They say that a turtle sometimes swims near the shore, but it was not possible to see it. It's better not to touch anyone with your hands and feet: I was talking to a tourist who was trying to chase fish on the surface of the water and one of them severely slashed his hand. In general, it is better to swim in special coral slippers, so it is calmer (I saw hedgehogs close to the shore). Along the coast, you can safely go to the beaches of other hotels, they will most likely not be allowed on the piers, or for a penny, but it is quite possible to swim. There were always plenty of sun beds and umbrellas. Towels have to be carried with you from the hotel with a special bag, which is given upon check-in, they are not given out on the beach. Waiters always walk along the beach and offer drinks from the bar. It's better not to leave any drinks or food while you're swimming - hungry crows are flying in. There is a shower where you can wash after salt water and a locker room. They play bocce right on the beach, you can ride camels (for a fee), diving, spa, and excursions are constantly offered. Restaurant The main restaurant is located near the reception - Sunflower Restaurant. The food is good, you won't stay hungry, you'll find something for yourself, but you shouldn't wait for a super-pickle. For breakfast: pancakes, croissants, pastries, some porridge, eggs, omelette, sausages, beans, spinach, cutlets, yoghurts, balls with milk, sausage slices. fruits. For lunch and dinner: shrimps, crabs, salmon, white fish, beef were grilled on different days; 5-6 hot dishes, mostly beef, fish, some seafood (squid, mussels), vegetables, pasta, sliced meat, soft cheeses, 2 types of soup, fruits, a large selection of cakes and oriental sweets. I really liked mango (August is the season), mango ice cream, Om Ali dessert, baklava with pistachios, shrimp and grilled salmon. Instant coffee in the vending machine, and At the bar you can drink boiled, juices, some semi-chemical juices, some nothing. Bars A lot of local spirits are included in the price, we drank wine (red, pink, white), beer and various cocktails. You can also drink various sodas, tea, chocolate. There is also a bar on the beach with snacks and drinks (burgers, hot dogs, shawarma, pizza, French fries, fruit, ice cream, sherbet). Even during your vacation, you can visit the a la carte restaurant for free once. To choose from: Nino's - Italian, The Grill - grill, MakaiTukai - Asian, Softa - Egyptian, Beach Restaurant and Aqua Restaurant. We were in the last one. The ravioli is not very good, but the hot salmon is very tasty, and freshly squeezed orange juice and tiramisu are also delicious. Swimming pools Nice, clean, shallow (up to 145 cm). In the evenings, they are always carefully cleaned by the staff. The large pool has a more active life: you can play water polo, there are more activities; the small pool is more peaceful, there is a zone of relaxation and silence. Both have small pools for kids. Number It was supposed to be on a ticket with a garden view, but it was upgraded for free upon check-in to a room with a view of the relax pool. However, he was in the furthest part (1230-1277) of the hotel and on the third floor. It takes 2-3 minutes to walk to the main Sunflower restaurant. The room is a little tired, it is clear that there were already many guests in it, it would be nice to update the renovation, but it is not critical. There is a hairdryer and a kettle. They bring 1.5 liters of water per person every day (I recommend brushing her teeth so that she doesn't have an intestinal disorder). There is shampoo, shower gel, body lotion. The rest is on request. Towels are changed if they are thrown on the floor, this is a sign that it is time to change them for the staff. They clean normally, and they didn't notice any difference with or without tips. Activities and animations on in English. Upon arrival, they give you a card to the water park, and you can visit it for free. There's a bus running to it every 30 minutes, from 9:15 to 4:30 p.m. We haven't been, I can't say anything about that. And a few words about excursions. We traveled by Biblioglobus. In Luxor, $95 per person. It takes 4 hours on the road, don't believe me if they say it's less)) They picked us up from Jaz Saraya first and dropped us off last, which is almost an hour plus on a one-way trip. Bottom line: despite some nuances, we really enjoyed the rest, we had a great rest and would love to repeat it. The hotel is decent, the sea is very cool! Therefore, I recommend it!

We had a rest with children (8 and 12 years old) from 20 to 26.11.2025.: 1. Reception and staff 5⭐️. They don't speak Russian, but on the day of arrival, the administrator turned on the AI translator and checked us out very quickly. All issues were solved easily. We arrived at one o'clock in the morning and even had time to eat. The entire hotel staff treated us very well, and in principle everything was very friendly! 2. Number 5⭐️. We had a family room with three walk-through rooms, like apartments. The beds are comfortable, daily cleaning, the tiles and plumbing in the bathroom are fresh, the water pressure in the shower is excellent! 3. Food and drink 5. Gastronomic pleasure and variety. There is a huge choice - in order to try everything with my spouse, we took just a little bit and treated each other, and we didn't try everything. The children ate fast food and drank a lot of soda - this food is available almost around the clock in the main restaurant, by the pool, and on the beach. From alcohol, beer is light, gin is just as light, delicious cocktails are poured in all cafes and bars that belong to our hotel. There is an opportunity to go to the Ala Kart restaurant once, but it is important to order almost as soon as you arrive, and preferably almost in the morning. We went to a seafood restaurant and everyone was satisfied! 4. The sea 5⭐️ we had a very beautiful reef on the beach - it is fenced with buoys and swimming along the buoys is a great pleasure. We took the tour separately with a dive in the open sea, so I can safely say that the reef on the shore of the hotel is decent. The entrance to the sea is normal, in places it's straight sandy - we didn't need corals. 5. Weather 5-⭐️. The sun at this time is not scorching, there is no intense heat and stuffiness from the word at all +25+26C and the sea is the same temperature. There was no wind for a couple of days - it was as comfortable as possible. And for a couple of days there was a wind of 5 m/s, according to the forecast, things did not blow away, but at sea during the wind it is 100 times better than on the shore. 6. Animation of 5⭐️. We spent one day by the pool. There was fun water aerobics, then contests - we laughed and got active. There are places for interesting games on the territory, the animators invite you to play - we played bocce - threw balls into the sand - a really cool game. My son even played it on the beach with grown men! At 4 p.m., we had a pink party in the pool with lots of slides and trampolines. Well, in the evenings there is an entertainment program: on the main stage there are just merry-go-rounds, dancing and sometimes bingo games; in our room fund near the pool and bar there was calm live music and the performers changed every day - it's such a relaxation. 7. Aquapark 4⭐️ the aquapark is paid as a separate service when buying a tour. There are enough slides. Of the cons, the bar with water and snacks is far away, almost at the entrance, and what is nearby is for the money. Well, the biggest disappointment is a huge children's pool with cool slides for children from 6 to 12 years old with ice water... This pool stood proudly without a single child. Of course, my 8-year-old child would have liked it there more than carrying heavy buns for going down the slides. 8. Guided tours. We took two: snorkeling and a trip to Luxor. Snorkeling - definitely, this tour should be in Egypt. It is very beautiful and full of impressions. If you are with young children, then check for the possibility of their immersion - there may not be small suits and equipment. We chose a Luxor VIP for 8 people - it's a little more expensive, but it's more comfortable and more visible than taking a 40-seat bus, which makes you more tired of waiting for everyone to catch up on the bus. The guide was completely ours, and we were fully enlightened! I'm very careful with the sellers on this trip - they offer souvenirs that cost $20 for $1, and then I start demanding an additional payment. That's why we bought souvenirs from our shops at the hotel. It's definitely worth haggling a lot there! Unlike the English-speaking staff of the hotel, they speak Russian very well in the shops! I would like to say separately for the train to Cairo to the museum and the pyramids - we didn't have time, but there are two options for the tour - by bus and by plane. It's cheaper by bus, but it's a long and tedious ride, and it's faster and more comfortable by plane, but twice as expensive. I think I've described everything. We had a good rest. I definitely recommend it!!!

Well, a C, maybe a plus. Of the good ones, this is a clean and green area, tolerable rooms, two swimming pools, although the children's slides have the same name, they will be interesting only to two-year-olds. In some reviews, they take pictures of the water park, yes, it's not bad, but there are no slides at all in the hotel itself, only two puny slides for toddlers. Germans and British mostly rest, ours, sometimes French is heard, but rarely. The beach is normal, there are umbrellas and deck chairs, the coast of the red Sea, in my opinion, is inferior to the Mediterranean in terms of swimming comfortably, then corals underfoot, then rocks, well, that's it. Well, the most important disappointment for me is the food, the level of the school cafeteria with delicacies :))) it's impossible to eat soups, soup with meatballs, it's some kind of greasy slush with smelly lamb kebabs, don't think, I eat lamb, but not in soup with meatballs. French fries are normal, the kids will come in. The meat is a complete horror, they don't know how to make a grill, everything turns out steamed or stewed, the turkey is dry as a sole, the shrimp seem to be fine, but you can't eat them for a long time, the men need meat :) There are basically only two side dishes, fries and rice of different colors, sometimes potatoes in slices, but the potatoes themselves are mostly like soap. Sausage, sausages and cheese taste worse than the "red price" products from Pyaterochka or wherever. Desserts are colorful nonsense with plastic cream. Of the good things, I can mention delicious pastries for breakfast, sweet, rich, soft, varied. Salads and snacks more or less. Porridge is terrible, milk porridge with rice tastes like rice boiled to a pulp in water slightly tinted with milk))) There is almost no variety, 3-4 days in a row they give the same thing for breakfast. The overall impression of the restaurants is bad, everything is old, dirty, worn to holes. In general, the food is definitely not 5 stars, three maximum. PS. I read other food reviews, it seems that either I was unlucky and started messing around (I was in March 2025), or people are not at all pretentious about food))) although there are negative reviews, there are few of them.

Not a bad hotel for Egypt. When we were there in 2015, it was renovated. Everything was brand new, it worked great. The rooms weren't too big, but there was a place to turn around. The fact that he is on the second line is not a problem. It's not that far to the sea. There were always free sunbeds on the beach. The hotel has a pretty good pool, they also gave you a card to visit the Makadi Water Park for free (at least visit it every day). I didn't like the hotel, probably only the food and drinks - the first one is kind of tasteless, and the drinks (any - cola, beer, wine, spirits) are all wrong or just completely loaded. As a result, I took either beer or cocktails - I didn't enjoy it, but it saved me from the heat. Wifi is very weak, barely worked.

We have visited more than 50 different hotels in different countries. We paid for three people for a family room of 70 m - 390 tr for 6 nights with a view of the roof of the restaurant. There are 3 large pools on the territory, like, we swam in two. There are sun beds (clamshells, real Russian clamshells), there are no problems. The beach is big. At the beginning there are small stones, then sand. Nice beach. The reef is a small little piece (if you're looking for beauty, it's not here!) It's so clean and there are a lot of people. There are bars near the beach, each hotel has its own. Tableware: reusable glassware is used here (very tired already, just to death). Terrible washing quality. The water park is large, the bar can be used, and a large bus runs every 30 minutes. When you check in, you will be given a card, do not forget to take it with you, otherwise they will not let you in. There is only one conclusion. There is no service here, and this is the main component of recreation, the staff is angry and does nothing for a comfortable stay. We do not recommend this hotel to visit at all, for this money you can choose a more comfortable hotel for yourself! The attitude towards Russians is extremely disgusting!!
