At the end of October 2025, I was lucky enough to visit this theater. It has such a pleasant, kind atmosphere that on my next trip to Brest, I will definitely buy tickets for the performance. I also want to note that the audience is very diverse, and I was pleased with the large number of young people. And the repertoire is interesting. So, I definitely recommend visiting the theater!

I attended the play "8 women". The theater is small. There is no comfortable waiting space on the ground floor. It is also a little disappointing that tickets are not checked by electronic registration, you first need to print out the ticket — it is not very convenient. Separately, I would like to praise the work of the ushers. They are not only handsome, but also incredibly empathetic in their activities. I probably remember them the most. The acting is very weak, unfortunately, although it did not build high expectations, but still it's a shame. Some of them overplayed their hand a lot. I barely watched it to the end.

The theater was founded on October 1, 1944, immediately after the liberation of the city, and the first performance took place on October 10 of the same year in a small one-story building converted into a stage and a hall with 150 seats. Already in 1947, the theater received a new building with richly decorated interiors: stucco, ceiling paintings, an art foyer and a portrait gallery of literary classics. Over time, it turned into one of the main theaters in Belarus. In 2005, the theater was awarded the honorary title of "Honored Collective of the Republic of Belarus", and in 2009, the theater received the status of "academic". The theater has a good website adapted for mobile phones, but tickets are sold through an intermediary. There are few performances in the Belarusian language.
