The Bazaar, the Grand Bazaar is an interesting and unusual place for Europeans ..)) it is interesting to walk along its streets, see all sorts of differences. You can buy anything there!! Turkish sweets (in a huge quantity-everything, and everyone is allowed to taste in an unlimited quantity, tea is poured). There are many shops with GOLD and jewelry (one cannot be cured of the other), all kinds of bathroom accessories.... In general, you can find anything!!!! A bright and peculiar place! If you decide to buy something there, bargain!! It will be an interesting experience for you!!! Many sellers speak "broken" Russian, many speak English, there are those who only speak Turkish. But you can find a common language with everyone, even through a translator! From personal experience, I can say that the Grand Bazaar is not a cheaper place, as many people think, but more like an attraction!! Bargain there always!!! Bargain is an exciting action!! But also be prepared for deception! As they say, Sleight of hand and no fraud 😂😉 Have fun walking!!
Clean, spacious. A bazaar for buying souvenirs, sweets, tea, spices, soap, shawls, socks. There are practically no clothes, and the one that is suitable only for the local beach. There is very little skin. There are few shoes. Cafes are non-alcoholic only. You can bargain. If you do not know how to bargain, you will simply be given more change than you need - this pleased you.
A beautiful atmospheric place for tourists visiting Istanbul, it is necessary to bargain, check everything for quality, a lot of fakes of all kinds of brands, of course. But there are also good things at an inexpensive price, prices are overestimated at least 2 times, bargain.
The bazaar is rich))
There are a lot of Chinese things inside, but you can buy dishes and sweets. I just went to take a look. I chatted with the lovely shopkeepers, they told me a lot of interesting things.
We need to visit here at least once.
In order not to bother with your product, it is better to start speaking Turkish right away, then they lose interest)))
Big Cherkizon, it's a pity that the prices in dollars, translated into rubles, are not cheap. A bazaar is a bazaar, under a roof, warm in winter, cool in summer. Products for every taste. If you leave the historic building, the bazaar does not end, shops and tents begin. If you enter from the main entrance (from the tram stop, the stop is called "Grant Bazaar"), then you can walk 1.5 hours through the bazaar to the strait. I didn't do much photography, because the bazaar, the ceilings are beautiful, in the painting
There is a very large market, it is very easy to get lost. A large assortment of everything you could wish for, from tea sets to gold jewelry and Turkish carpets. All sellers are very intrusive, it's not very convenient to choose and watch something, they immediately start sniffing something when you haven't even had time to inspect the assortment yet, so they bought everything mostly in shopping malls in stores. It is worth visiting only to feel the flavor and stroll through the streets of this bazaar, it is very beautiful in itself. The impression of the visit is positive.
The Grand Bazaar is a huge market in Istanbul, where you can find a variety of goods: from souvenirs to textiles and carpets. It was founded in 1453 and consists of 66 streets. At the market, you can admire the architecture and atmosphere of oriental trade. However, prices at the Grand Bazaar can be high, and sometimes it is difficult to navigate the maze of shopping malls.
It's a cool place, I'd say legendary, mostly tourists are shopping there now, so everything is expensive, there are a lot of people walking too. If you are in Istanbul for the first time, you need to visit, but do not swing your wallet too much, otherwise the Turks are tricky guys, they will sell you half of their store, you will not understand how it happened)
It's a very colorful place. Being in Istanbul and not visiting the Grand Bazaar is like not getting to know Istanbul. Like a living, functioning museum! For the sake of pleasure, you can bargain. The Turks themselves love those who bargain. This is an amazing process of dating and communication. In general, this is life!
Atmospherically clean and friendly, it is definitely worth a visit to experience the flavor of Istanbul. Talk to the sellers, ask them how they are doing and bargain for your pleasure. It is not necessary to buy =)
The old building impresses with its size, especially the height of the arches. An abundance of oriental sweets, silver, gold. Who has not been to the east- I think it will be interesting and you will like it. The prices are very high, you can buy it cheaper. But it is a tourist center and there are a lot of people.
Very colorful. There are a lot of people, sellers come across very intrusive. For us, the most profitable currency exchange rate turned out to be here. Goods from tent to tent cost differently, you can look for cheaper ones. A lot of gold (real?), leather jackets, coats, carpets, souvenirs, sweets, clothes, shoes, spices, teas.
Two stars for a large area and unusual. Otherwise, an ordinary Moscow gardener with terrible quality and huge prices. There are streets with antiques, but they are also not for the ordinary man in the street))
If you have a limited budget, then the place is definitely not for you. Just to take a look, and the fact that there are a lot of people there will do. And yes, if you linger on something for more than a second, a crowd runs towards you))))
It's like falling into a fairy tale of a Thousand and One nights, you can buy everything or almost everything! An ancient building, atmospheric, it's just huge, really a Grand Bazaar! If you like something and decide to buy it, it's better to do it right away (after you agree on the price), because then you just won't find this place! And in other places, you may not like this thing or the price so much, but where you looked before is unlikely to find it, tested on yourself
The place is touristic and interesting. You can't go hungry, you can eat too many goodies. It's nice to see, the atmosphere is like a bazaar, everything is organized and decent. I was getting high for a walk.
An atmospheric place of the oriental bazaar. Be sure to go plunge into the aromas and rich colors of the East. Prices are overpriced compared to the periphery of the same market. An interesting antique market.
A colorful place, you can find something interesting, but you need to be prepared that they will call from every corner and persistently persuade you to buy something. The price tag can be safely knocked down several times, and even at the same time it will be possible to buy cheaper in local markets than here. There is a place to eat here, but it is better to ask for a menu with prices in advance in order to understand how much money you are willing to leave, otherwise you will not be very pleasantly surprised later. In general, an interesting place, you can find something unusual and try out local sweets along the way.
A good place, you can find a favorable exchange rate, a large assortment, you can find high-quality goods, prices are different, sellers are adequate, they do not impose everything in a row. It's also a great place for a walk, there's a lot of interesting things nearby.
I'm visiting the Grand Bazaar. But I'm only putting 3. I'll explain why:
The prices are simply atomic, more expensive than in stores, and the quality and assortment are very mediocre. But the place is very colorful. It is worth visiting, but I do not recommend buying something. For example, the bags were much better, more beautiful and of better quality in a normal shopping mall than at the Grand Bazaar, and the price tag was almost 2 times lower. Draw conclusions
Among the advantages: atmospheric, beautiful, interesting
Of the minuses: everyone sells the same thing, but with a price difference of one and a half times (there is no variety of goods); at the sight of tourists, they try to deceive and cheat as much as possible for money; often overprice, when compared with other markets in Istanbul
The Grand Bazaar is considered a landmark of Istanbul.
You can find anything, but only some souvenirs will be cheaper in the city, in general, the Bazaar is not bad)
A beautiful historical place. The assortment is tourist, with large margins. The place is photogenic, but very visited. I recommend you to visit and immerse yourself in the historical flavor of the ancient city
Yes, this bazaar is a must-see, the history is 500 years or more, slaves have been sold for a long time, now it is an attraction, they sell everything, it is beautiful, the atmosphere creates a mood, I recommend it.
A picturesque place! It is worth visiting even without shopping, but just plunge into the magical world of children's fairy tales, feel the breath and rhythm of the oriental bazaar.
A large selection of different products. Prices may be slightly lower than in Moscow. You can bargain. In general, Turkish exoticism. The sellers are friendly. It's worth a look for the exotic.
Market. Authentic. You can just enter the market. The prices are of course tourist. In principle, you can look for gold. Yes, but I can advise you to buy spices and so on in other stores and possibly closer to the hotel…
A beautiful place in the historical center of the city. A wide range of goods, spices, sweets, coffee and tea
...Prices are not cheap, you need to bargain
A very famous, significant place, a must-visit, color, bazaar, how everything works, do not forget to bargain to exhaustion and eat delicious food.... Chestnuts , kebabs , you will be absolutely delighted "👍
You can get lost, before going to the bazaar, be sure to download the navigator! A huge range of goods, always bargain - the Turks love it and always compromise!
An interesting place, there is a good product, you can bargain.I bought a beautiful table lamp there., with a ceiling lined with glass mosaic and a copper base.
There is authenticity in this bazaar / market, a lot of choice, of course you need to bargain, many sellers seem intrusive, but this is their job, it's great, as a tourist it's interesting to visit)
Colorful, contrasting, smoky! You can bargain, there are good things! The impressions are good, I have long dreamed of visiting there, tourists are treated well!
There are a lot of things, but it is very difficult to choose something for yourself. The prices are high, and the sellers themselves are very intrusive. It makes you want to escape from there. The only plus is very beautiful, atmospheric. Everything is bright in Turkish!!! The location, the very center, is of course convenient!
The landmark of Istanbul! Be sure to visit, it's very atmospheric. It is better to make purchases not on neighboring streets, it will be the same, but cheaper.
The bazaar is very big and beautiful. There are a lot of people walking. I advise you to definitely visit there, you can buy anything👍The prices are certainly off the scale😁
It's a very atmospheric place. There is a huge market, you can just walk through to feel the spirit of Istanbul. It is better to visit this place at the end of the day (open until 19:00), when there are fewer tourists.
A very large and good market is closed, mainly jewelry, gold, clothing in a word, you will find everything you are looking for the price of whom you can buy and cheaper, you can buy good things expensive
A place for tourists. Buy trinkets as a keepsake. Or you need to go and really look for an exclusive. But I really want to escape to the fresh air and silence faster.
A huge market. There is a bit of color and maybe you can visit it once. But if there is no goal to buy something, there is not much to do. The mass of luxury brand items for little money leads to the idea that the entire market is an ordinary "China".
It's not a clean place. But it is mandatory to visit. The merchants have the same thing, they couldn't find anything exclusive. But the atmosphere and of course the freshly squeezed juice for 70 lire is what you should go there for)!
Ooo, this is a huge territory for training on getting discounts in the process of furious trading. Do you want three times cheaper? No problem, but you'll have to groan in an attempt to lower the price. At first there is an innate shyness, but then there is excitement. Especially distinguished in achieving their goal, the seller treats them to tea in commemoration of the transaction. It gives moral satisfaction. As for the assortment, it is very diverse: clothes, jewelry, various utensils, all sorts of trinkets. The territory is both inside and outside the building, up to the Egyptian bazaar. In general, everyone has endurance, perseverance and patience. Before you go there, make a shopping list, otherwise you will spend all the money at the entrance. Before you buy, walk around for a day (it will definitely be a little) and look at other shops. 😉
You definitely need to go there. A beautiful and grandiose structure. If you are not afraid of a huge number of people and get lost, then you need to go. You definitely won't go out without buying, there is everything
Big, but you won't get lost. A huge range of products for every taste. Sellers are haggling and want to sell the goods. Clean and spacious. There are many exchangers with a favorable exchange rate. A special atmosphere. I would love to visit again
A noisy place, with a monotonous assortment. The exchange rates are worse than on the main street of Istanbul. There are a lot of smokers and left-hand goods. I can't even recommend watching it. An ordinary market, nothing supernatural. The presentation of the bazaar was different.
It's expensive, there are a lot of unpleasant odors, it stinks of mothballs, where carpets, spices, something else, The toilet in the alley is paid and it's scary to go there, Prices are more expensive than at a street bazaar, Sellers sit and eat in the middle of the aisle or wash the floor and wave a mop at visitors so that they don't walk on the washed, T-shirts for 40 Euros! On the street, the same T-shirts cost 7-10 euros. The summer bag a la Prada costs 400 euros and is not traded.
