The Teide National Park and Volcano are Tenerife's main attractions. There is a unique nature and crazy views, ranging from lava fields to observation decks on neighboring islands. Even if you do not plan to climb the funicular to the top of Teide, you need to come here and see this park with your own eyes. The funicular will take you to a height of 3,550 meters, and the height of the peak (where the Teide crater itself is located) is 3,718 meters. And only 200 people a day have access to this path to the very top. If you do not get permission in advance, then you will walk along a beautiful route at the top station of the funicular, look from a height at the Pico Viejo crater, amazing views of the entire archipelago, but you will not get to the real peak at an altitude of 3718m. A few tips: - There are thieves here, and there are car theft, especially in the parking lot at the funicular. Do not leave anything in the car in a visible place, they will break the window once or twice, even for a 2 euro coin. We put everything in the trunk. - With the car, you will get many times more emotions in the Teide Park. If you have a driver's license, take a car for at least 1 day to visit Teide. - Come to Teide Park only with a full tank, there are no gas stations, not a single one. And when climbing from 0 to 2400 meters above sea level along the serpentines, gasoline is normally consumed this way. - If you are going on hiking trails to Pico Viejo or Sam Teide, do not forget that this is not an easy walk. Special shoes, sticks, lots of water — all this needs to be taken. There is a cafe at the lower station of the funicular, but there are no grocery stores or anything else here. Everything you need must be purchased in advance. Remember, it's cold at an altitude of 3,718 m, and it's hard to breathe from unaccustomed conditions. Don't forget that it's very windy at the top. When it's +25 on the beaches of Tenerife, it's about +5 degrees at the top.

An island is a mountain sticking out of the ocean. Despite the fact that the mountain is higher than 3 km, there is no snow on the top. More precisely, it is there, but it melts quickly. The Gulf Stream is in the area. The islands are considered a place of eternal spring: 25 degrees Celsius all year round. But I didn't want to climb the mountain. It's cold there (it even happens to be minus), and we arrived in shorts.

We climbed the volcano on the Teleferico del Teide funicular, but did not dare to walk. The duration of the walk is limited to one hour, although I'm not sure if it's over that those who have walked for an extra half hour will be forced to walk down. The views from the hiking trail and a pair of miradors, from a height of 3555 m, are of course simply fascinating! In the palm of your hand - the entire caldera of the ancient volcano Las Cañadas, in which the volcanoes Teide and Pico Viejo later "grew", and which, of course, is actually the territory of the Parque Nacional del Teide National Park…
