We traveled with my husband by car from Obninsk to Minsk with stops in Bryansk, Gomel, Vitebsk and Smolensk. Honestly, I didn't have any special expectations, we just decided to go. But Belarus pleasantly surprised us! Very beautiful, well-maintained architecture, wide avenues, bright and cozy everywhere. I especially liked Minsk — it was calm, comfortable, and pleasing to the eye. The famous Gates were watched and filmed with great pleasure — they are impressive! We'll come back again

Level 6 Local Expert

A unique architectural monument. You have to see that. Two Stalin skyscrapers, statues on the roofs, bas—reliefs and stucco on the walls. As soon as all this is kept in such excellent condition! Impressive. There are photos of the construction of these towers online, in 1952. Attached.
