An amazing place with a large number of historical artifacts that immerse you in the history of Adjara and show the life of the people who lived there. Many thanks to Kemal Turmanidze, who supports, develops and presents all this to visitors, as well as to the guides who tell about all this.

A magnificent museum. There are simply no words to describe his greatness. Made by the hands of one person for decades, it perfectly conveys the multinational flavor of Georgia and tells the most interesting moments from the lives of local people. The charming guide Iya, whose beauty alone makes it possible to visit this museum, perfectly understands the idea of the museum's creator, Mr. Kemal, and will explain this idea to you in a clear and interesting way. There are many interesting exhibits, and besides, some parts of the exposition are immersive, so lovers of tactile sensations will be given to touch different things-exhibits =) There is also a souvenir shop that sells various wooden items made by Mr. Kemal and his daughter. In general, the museum leaves a very pleasant and warm impression. It feels like everything there is saturated with the pure and sincere love of the creator, as well as the guides and other participants, for Georgia, the people of Georgia and those who are interested in it. That's why such things always remain in history. On a side note : You can also have a wedding here. Great idea, it looks stylish.)

It's a wonderful place! I am very glad that I visited the private museum with my family. The Tamta guide gave us a guided tour in English (and Russian too). We fell in love with the museum. Firstly, it is not boring, you can see and learn a lot of interesting things about the way of life and the life of the inhabitants of Adjara. I was captivated by embroidery, knitwear: what colors, interesting motifs. There were a lot of interesting questions to think about!) Secondly, there are so many flora around: figs, pomegranates, persimmons, mush mulas, oranges, grapes - a sight to behold! And fauna: seals! And also an artificial, but very cool waterfall. Thirdly: you can see unique woodwork from the creator of the museum, visit the workshop and see him personally (!) amazing people - thank you for your tremendous work! Thank you for telling us about your people! You are wonderful!Your guests Kaliningrad-London.

It is open until 18.the tour is included in the ticket price (GEL 15 per adult.fashion (take it or give it up). Maria, the tour guide, talks superbly, there is a ton of information in the tempo of a waltz in 50 minutes. The founder of the museum is a wood carver, 65 years old. The territory is bigger than I thought .There is a free toilet on site, a drinking fountain and a private waterfall..I bought a handmade candle holder. The autumn Museum is sincere, family-friendly

It's a good museum, but it's a pity that only one person is involved in it. God grant him good health. An enthusiast and a patriot. He does all the wood carving himself. We bought wonderful candlesticks with an author's signature. It's very spectacular, the guide speaks Russian well. It was very interesting for us.

An interesting, authentic museum made by the hands of a local craftsman, who can be found in the territory of his brainchild. Our guide introduced us to the museum, and she quickly but thoroughly told us everything in Russian, thank you very much!

Probably one of the most interesting places in Batumi. The museum not only reveals how the Adjarians lived in the 19th and the first half of the 20th century, but also gives a better sense of the spirit of the country without any pretense. I sincerely recommend it. P.S. In the video, the museum's creator signs a souvenir - a carved mortar.

The Ethnographic Museum, created by Kemal Turmanidze, is a must-visit place in Batumi. The museum is private, admission is 15 lari, the ticket price includes a guided tour. We were accompanied by the guide Marie. The whole museum is a great recognition of the author's love for his native land, the history of Georgia and his people. Authentic exhibits from personal collections, everyday life and culture of 15 regions of Georgia. Come here and you won't regret it!

Visiting this museum is a real pleasure and a deep dive into the world of culture and craftsmanship. I am particularly admired for the work of the guide, an incredibly professional, attentive and enthusiastic person who delicately and fascinatingly guides through each hall, revealing a living history to the guests. The organizer, who is also a master, is a man of rare soul and talent. Everything created in the museum is imbued with love for business, deep respect for traditions and boundless patience. Every detail is thought out here, everything is done with a soul, and you can feel it from the first minutes of your stay. It's not just a museum — it's a living space where people, art, and time are valued. Many thanks to the whole team for their hard work and inspiration!

We visited the ethnographic museum and were very impressed! Excellent exposition, everything is very competently and interestingly designed. It is especially pleasant that the tour is included in the ticket price — the guide talks in detail about the exhibits, making each story fascinating and lively. It is particularly admirable that many of the wooden objects in the museum, from utensils to interior elements, were handmade by the museum's creator. All the work was done with great respect for traditions.

It's great that there are such enthusiasts. Usually, the old way of life just disappears unnoticeably, and the owner of this museum is a great fellow — he collects the memory of old times, carefully preserves the memory of his ancestors. Honestly, this is very, very cool, the exposition allows you to thoughtfully plunge into the old Georgian way of life. Sincere thanks to the creator of the museum! We were with my son (13 years old) in the middle of August. The ticket price includes a guided tour (which is very, very correct!).

Visited the museum on 08/26/2025. The price is 15 GEL, the guide's services are free of charge. The young girl guide speaks excellent Russian and talks very interestingly about the culture of Adjara and Georgia in general. The founder of the museum and the author of all the layouts and interiors greeted the tourists at the end. There are autographed souvenirs of his work. It is recommended to visit

Very atomospheric! I recommend visiting with children, who can be clearly shown what people of various professions are doing. My husband saw an exhibit: a scooter, which he himself made, repaired and rode with pleasure as a child. It was nice to get the autograph of the master on it when buying a souvenir!

A wonderful museum. Very sincere and original. One of the few (if not the only) private museums in Georgia. The life of the Adjara region of the 19th and 20th centuries is very interesting and clearly shown. Guided tours in Russian and English, a small souvenir shop. A great option for visiting with children.

We have been to the museum twice. It was very interesting both times! There is an opportunity to choose a guide (Russian- or English-speaking). The museum itself contains a variety of exhibits that convey the life of the people very colorfully. Admires that all this was done and collected by 1 person! Who, by the way, also communicates with museum visitors. Very interesting, thoughtful tours of the museum. Excellent service. Perhaps the best museum on the territory of Adjara from those in which we were during the year of residence in Georgia. The most important thing is that everything is done with a soul.

I really liked it. It is clear that a person is doing what he loves... A pleasant guide told everything in Russian, a little quickly, but then he walked around and, based on what was said, slowly examined all the small details. The master owner of the museum is a pleasant sociable person, he told me something himself, I asked him for clarification. You can buy souvenirs (with an autograph) and works of your own execution, of which there are a huge number. It is very full of exhibits. It is visually more informative compared to the state institutions of Batumi (I managed to visit most of them and have something to compare them with). I hope the collection of exhibits will increase. I RECOMMEND A MANDATORY VISIT, IT'S WORTH IT!

A very intimate ethnographic museum in Batumi. I managed just half an hour before closing time, but I was very impressed. My guide, a very intelligent, well-mannered and charismatic high school student, told me everything about the way of life of wealthy and poor families, how Georgians ran their farms, showed me some finds that were used in everyday life, made me think about it and struck me with the depth of her knowledge Thank you again very much😇🤗
