It's a good museum. The museum was created from exhibits from the private collection of a local collector. Located on the shore of the strait. There is a collection of cars, a beautiful collection of toy models, steam locomotives, trams, boats and yachts. Interiors and everyday life of people have been created (fishermen, boat manufacturing, repair of outboard motors, shops, etc.). There is an exposition dedicated to airplanes. A steamship is moored on the embankment, and a separate exhibit is dedicated to submarines. The exhibits are located indoors and on outdoor areas.
We had an interesting and enjoyable time!)
The best attraction in Istanbul if you come with children. And unlike the set prices in all major tourist sites in Istanbul, the pricing policy here is very adequate. A huge collection of cars, motorcycles, boats, carriages, toys and much more. You can spend a few hours with great pleasure. Climb into the carriage of an old horse-drawn tram or an Italian train of the 30s, press the buttons, starting various engines, take a picture on a London double-decker bus or next to Elvis's pink Cadillac. It's very cool here.
A wonderful museum. A huge amount of all kinds of equipment in excellent condition. Wagons, steam locomotives, boats, boats, cars from creation to, airplanes. There is a real B-24. Be sure to visit. It takes about three hours just to walk. It takes a whole day to pay attention.
Do not forget that there is a branch of the museum across the street, right at the traffic light. The ticket is the same.
A wonderful museum, many children on excursions, the equipment is very different-household, large, trains, airplanes, engines. The proximity of the bay gives a pleasant atmosphere, there are cafes, benches on the street between the pavilions, the price is adequate. I've been with my son for 6 years, I'm happy
It is very interesting for both adults and children. Wonderful exhibitions of everything - cars, railways, horse-drawn vehicles, etc.
There is a hall with a demonstration of the work of all mechanisms - from engines to a dishwasher (everything can be turned on and watch the process, mechanisms in section and with glass walls).
There is a second part of the exhibition - across the street, all with one ticket.
It was 4 o'clock, if you look at each exhibit, it's not enough.
A cafe at a reasonable price is on board the ship.
But the entrance is expensive, 2 adults and 2 children (but all of them who are only 6 years old are adults) - 1800 liras. But this museum is worth it.
A gorgeous museum. We had a great time with our family. There are a lot of exhibits, both models and many real cars, including Soviet-made ones, ships and steamships, airplanes. It's hard to describe everything, it's better to see it once!!!
A beautiful museum, lots of interesting exhibits.
I especially liked the boats and water ski boats. There are many cars from the early 20th century, interesting trains, you can visit inside the Douglas and explore the cockpit. There is a lot of cognitive and interesting things.
The monumental exposition. You can walk here all day, and the run—up is from the washing machine to the bomber... in fact, it is difficult to characterize the assortment, you need to look, you will definitely find your own. The ticket is worth the money, a decent amount of information and interactivity. The exhibits are in good condition, even with the constant presence of children. Much has been meticulously restored and preserved.
Why did it take me so long to come to this museum? It's just wow! Both children and adults will like it! Indeed, you can call it polytechnic, because there are many cars, planes, helicopters here. There are yachts, boats, bicycles, motorcycles, steam locomotives and trains. And much more... Museum of toys, hats, dollhouses, carriages and baby strollers. It's for the whole day
The Rahmi Kocha Museum, a huge territory of the polytechnic Museum, is definitely worth a trip here for both adults and children. It is very interesting. There are a lot of exhibits. At least 3 hours for viewing.
It's a very interesting museum. There are a huge number of exhibits on display, from a computer to a helicopter and an airplane. You can touch and see everything! Interesting for both children and adults
If you are interested in technology, go here! You can see and touch many exhibits, there is everything from horse-drawn carriages to airplanes, it is very interesting for both children and adults.
A large museum. You won't be able to run for half an hour. But in bad weather, probably yes. Most of the exhibits are located on the street.
Steam locomotives, cars, and small yachts are represented. Part of the 19th century street with various shops (toy store, watchmaker, atelier, etc.) is a small interactive area. There is little information about modern technologies. But the engineering thought of the 19th and 20th centuries is well represented.
a wonderful museum! It is better to visit from the moment of opening, in order to have time to see everything! It's a masterpiece! For all tastes and interests! Children will be especially interested.
I highly recommend the museum. Both children and adults liked it. Cars, planes, ships and trains. You can go into many of them and sit. Something can touch or trigger. On the second floor there is also a hall with entertaining physics for children. They couldn't get their kids out of there for an hour, because everything seemed like magic to them, and it can all be twisted, rolled, pressed, etc. There is also an inexpensive cafe on the territory. And a couple of much less budget restaurants. The territory is not limited to the building itself. Behind it is a large hangar with various equipment, a large airplane, a ship with a cafe and an exhibition of antique children's toys. In general, we really liked it☺️
If I could, I would give not 5, but 10 stars to this museum. This is the case when it will be interesting for both children and adults, girls and boys. From dolls to technology. I would say that in this museum you can live the history of the development of technology -from old cars, and from the beginning of the automotive industry in principle, trams, boats and ferries to airplanes and a real submarine. The exposition of household appliances with the opportunity to observe the principle of operation of mechanisms-all this attracts, fascinates and leads to utter delight when visiting this museum. I would like to note separately that the museum is a private collection of one of the richest people in Turkey, Rahmi Koch, and is named after him. I was also surprised and pleased with the fact that the cost of tickets for such an exhibition is simply ridiculous. In general, to summarize, I fully recommend it, you will definitely not regret the time spent visiting this place.
It is a very interesting museum, I advise you to visit it, personally I liked it more than the others (probably because I am a technician myself). Children will also like tat, as they can climb the exhibits there.
Cool museum, big collection! I liked everything. You can touch the exhibits and even climb into some of them...
We had a nice time with the family, although my wife and I liked it more than the children.... They're tired.
I recommend the museum to all fans of twentieth century technology! Boys, men will be delighted. It is easy to get from the center by bus. Book 2-3 hours for a visit.
This museum is my most vivid impression of my vacation in Istanbul this time. I haven't been able to see everything in half a day, and I'll be happy to come again. Thanks to the creator of the museum for the wonderful story.
It's a cool museum. There are a lot of objects in the section to understand how everything works... and of course a huge collection of all kinds of transport. The children were a little tired, but they all looked. It takes about 2 hours to view everything.
It's a beautiful place! A large collection of retro cars. There are also various marine vessels, engines, tractors, and motor vehicles. I recommend it!
Great.
A distinctive feature from other museums of a technical bias is a huge collection of models of steam engines and machines of the XIX-XX centuries, such as I have never seen before. The exhibits are life-size, super. Be sure to take a guidebook at the entrance, otherwise you may pass by some rooms. And, importantly!, the second part of the museum is located across the street, so do not throw away the tickets, there is also something to look at.
One of the exhibits in the "open" part of the exposition is the wreckage of a B-24 bomber that made an emergency landing on the water off the Turkish coast during WWII. Seven crew members managed to escape, three died and stayed underwater with the car for about half a century. Their remains were recovered and sent home, and a flag from the funeral ceremony is displayed in a memorial tent near the nose of the aircraft. The car itself is in good condition, despite the years spent at sea.
The Technical Museum is essentially illustrating the evolution of technical thought in Turkey with obvious interaction with the UK. The exhibits are amazing in their variety from small personal items of the creator, clothes, to a submarine, tank, helicopter/airplane. The exposition is organized intricately, not to say that it was distinguished by thoughtful logic and without a map there is a risk of missing something. Nevertheless, it is very informative. Especially impressed:
- car collection
- huge collection of boats and yachts
- steam engines, compressors and engines
- ship repair yard with ships and a submarine
- history of cooperation with Land Rover
- demo models of internal combustion engines, renewable energy sources and a working demo model of olive oil production
- doubledecker, phone booth
- ... the story of why the clock is called a clock)
I have visited several technical museums. This one is definitely worth a visit.
All information is duplicated in English. The ticket is about 300 lire, 250 for a child, I think.
The museum is simply amazing, it is interesting for all children, adults, and women. A huge number of exhibits, a lot of interactive, there are a lot of experts on the street, airplanes, boats, propellers, a collection of toys, cars, strollers. The museum is just a must-visit.
The museum is mandatory for adults and children to visit. You can get there by the morning ferry from Kadakoy along the Golden Horn. The museum has a large area, including a decent exposition across the street, where few people get to. Conda we were, there was no one else but us.we spent more than 5 hours on viewing the exposition.
It's a cool museum. Just a lot of technology! But be careful, choose days when they don't take school trips, if that happens... We got on a day of excursions, Turkish children are running around like an army of Mongols!
It's a big museum. A huge number of exhibits for every taste. There is a description for everything. An acceptable price tag for a visit. We were on weekdays, there were almost no people. Easily accessible by public transport
Wonderful. It was a little expensive when you entered the museum, but when you came out, it was very cheap compared to this splendor and diversity, you are aware that there is a different building across the street and it is a monument of history and culture that you should definitely see there...
Not bad, a lot of things, but the wow effect did not happen, it is not a cheap place to go, there are a lot of exhibits, but a lot of boring, really amazing or interesting exhibits in relation to the total number is not great. I wouldn't have gone a second time
I take my guests around as a guide
Without exaggeration, I say ONE OF THE MOST BEAUTIFUL MUSEUMS IN THE WORLD. There are only aliens in it, and there are no spacecraft, but there is a METEORITE. Rahmi Aries is the most legacy he can leave to the Turkish nation..... Thank you

A very interesting museum, with a small number of visitors, you can definitely spend 2-3 hours viewing all the exhibits, from racing cars to Zaporozhets, all possible trains, household and kitchen appliances in the context. I am especially pleased that you can go and sit in a branded double-decker bus, if you want to go to the ship, come in, there are many benches, part of the outdoor exposition
A good museum!I recommend taking the children with you, they will be interested!A lot of equipment is presented: airplanes, cars, boats, ships, trains. There are visual stands of how the equipment works, you can press buttons and watch how it works! The entrance ticket is 300 liras.
An interesting composition with working models of equipment, very interesting and informative for children!

Dear Rahmi Koç,thank you very much for providing such a museum . I have a complaint about lonely children, both families, teachers and museum staff
Parents, please take care of your children, instead of being told not to touch my child, do not touch the valuable museum items there because you will open your mouth and take photos. Take care of yourself and your children .
Teachers are not shouting at children
Address calmly and in a more appropriate way
Regarding the museum staff, please keep under supervision and pay attention without disturbing the visitors
Don't forget to like it 👍
A very interesting museum with many unique exhibits. It is impossible to see everything at once. There is a functioning mini railway on the territory of the museum. I recommend taking a ride on it.
