We rested for twelve days in early August 2025. consisting of three families (10 people), they occupied three rooms. Anya, the hostess of the guest house, welcomed us very cordially. They immediately provided parking on the territory next to the house for 3 cars (two of them fit under a canopy), but the entrance to the house is steep and requires caution if the car is low. We got a room on the third floor with a view of the garden. The room is very small for 4 people, there is absolutely nowhere to store things, fortunately there were suitcases and things were kept in them under the bed. There is only one narrow wardrobe in the room. It's also not a pleasant moment - the floor creaks, you can hear all the movements, even when you turn over on the bed. Mattresses are generally something very uncomfortable, it's extremely uncomfortable to sleep in the morning, your back falls off and you don't get enough sleep at all. The air conditioner worked very well, it cooled our small room very quickly. The Wi-Fi was working fine too. There is an extreme shortage of a refrigerator in the room, the ones on the territory, and there are three of them, are full and you have to carry your products to different places. Every morning in the area from 5 to 6:30, the electricity went out and, accordingly, the air conditioner stopped working. We got into the construction period of the neighboring building, which also brought certain disadvantages to our vacation, such as noisy work and cars with building materials that periodically occupied the parking area. El Platano met us with the first problems at the gate, which has an electric combination lock. The first problems began with him, the tongue periodically bends and the gate cannot be opened. There are sliding gates, but the girls can't handle them. In the evening, it is very difficult to dial the code because the buttons and the lock itself are not illuminated. Sometimes they cooked food on gas and electric stoves, sometimes they had to wait, because there were a lot of people who wanted to eat, since there was a barbecue, they cooked on it. There were no problems with the dishes - there was enough for everyone. A big plus is that there is hot water and you can drink tap water. The territory of the guest house is green, with excellent views of the city, especially from the detached terrace where the hostess conducts yoga classes in the mornings. It takes 10-15 minutes to walk to the sea, there are several ways to get there, and it's not stressful to go back. The beach is well equipped with everything you need, umbrellas, tents, sun beds for a fee. We used the beach near the pier, we liked it better. A big plus for us was the football field with a natural lawn, we could always come and enjoy the game. To summarize: the El Platano guest house, in my opinion, is not worth the money I paid for it. I do not recommend taking a room for four, I remember the Armenian fairy tale "The customer and the master" - the room size does not change, the number of beds is added. There are a lot of vacationers in August, and as I have already noted, there are problems with refrigerators and kitchens. Mattresses need to be replaced 100%! Plus, it is worth mentioning the hosts who are ready to help with the solution of issues arising during the rest, after the rest they gave gifts. Also, the advantages should be noted, the walking distance to the main attractions of New Athos. All the vacationers I know agree with the cons and pros of this guest house.

Hi, everybody The guest house welcomed us warmly: beautiful landscapes and green territory. There is parking for 2-3 cars on site, but the check-in is steep and requires experience. The room was cleanly cleaned, everything you need is there - beds, towels, water, kettle, air conditioning and wi-fi, I took off the star for the "fatigue" of the room (floors and walls can be updated) and the refrigerator in the room is very lacking (it was not promised). But there are 3 refrigerators in the cooking area in the garden. Mosquito spray is welcome in the evenings) There are a lot of dishes - there is enough for everyone. Cooking on an electric stove. It takes 10-15 minutes to walk to the sea Going uphill is not too stressful. I liked the beach near the pier more on arrival. All the necessary shops on the way to the beach - you will not miss. All the sights are within walking distance!!! accessibility. Special thanks to the hostess, Anna: she is constantly in touch, always tells you, always solves questions.
