We stayed at the hotel for 5 days. The location looks remote at first glance, but at the exit of the Hutong hotel is a slum, considered one of the top 10 Beijing attractions, where you can buy food, fruits and quick meals and through them you can walk to the subway in 10-15 minutes. Also within walking distance (a little further away) is the Temple of heaven and several places where you can eat. In general, the hotel is shabby, but they are cleaned very cleanly (compared to both Russian and Turkish, Eastern European hotels) and provide good breakfasts from 7-9 in the buffet format - there was also something meaty, which is rare for such breakfasts. It is stated that the cafe at this place opened in 1918 - in general, the hotel's level of shabbiness fits the appropriate atmosphere. I will also mention the comfortable beds. When they asked for an iron, they gave me an iron and a board. The staff doesn't speak Russian, so you need to install a translator app and translate it into Chinese. It seems that English is also spoken only at the reception and only somewhat, but in general, the ability to speak at least some English is already an achievement for Beijing.

The hotel has a maximum of 3 stars. There are cigarettes in the rooms. The hood smells of mold. The condition of the rooms requires repair (chips on the tiles, in places it looks like fungus on the seams). There was a chain on the door for security, but it was attached the other way around, so that you could open the door to an incoming person without any problems. On the plus side, the standard breakfast is not spicy. The hotel has a coffee shop, it also has European dishes. Also, a very convenient location to the center, 10 minutes walking distance and you can get to the walking part of the city (Tiananmen Square).

Excellent hotel, fully met expectations. Breakfast included both the usual European food and some Chinese dishes. The breakfast format is a familiar buffet. At the reception, the girls resourcefully used interpreters when they had difficulties with the language. Beautiful courtyard and the old hotel building.
