I was there a long time ago, but I believe that everything has been preserved even now, and so Big Ben, which is an integral part of the architectural ensemble of the Palace of Westminster, is an outstanding example of the Neo-Gothic style and engineering art of the XIX century. Its austere, but at the same time elegant forms, made of brick and Anston stone, harmoniously fit into the historical appearance of London and serve as a symbol of British statehood and traditions. The clockwork mechanism installed in the tower has been distinguished by exceptional accuracy and reliability for more than a century and a half, which testifies to the highest level of craftsmanship of its creators. The ringing of the Big Ben bell, heard every hour, has become not only the acoustic dominant of the city, but also a globally recognizable brand of London. The internal structure of the tower, accessible to a limited number of visitors, impresses with the complexity and thoughtfulness of engineering solutions that ensure the smooth operation of the mechanism for such a long time. The tower, towering over the banks of the Thames, forms a unique silhouette of the capital of Great Britain and is a favorite object for photographers and artists. Its historical and cultural value is beyond doubt, and the preservation of this monument for future generations deserves the highest approval. Visiting the surroundings of Big Ben leaves an indelible impression and allows you to better understand the spirit and history of the British nation. The architectural integrity and aesthetic expressiveness of the tower make it one of the main attractions of global importance. Taken together, all these factors make it possible to confidently give Big Ben the highest rating and recommend it for a mandatory visit.

Big Ben is a clock tower located in the northeastern part of the British Parliament in Westminster. One of the main symbols of Great Britain. Officially, the tower is called the Elizabeth Tower, and Big Ben was originally named for its huge bell, which was once the heaviest in the UK. The height of the tower is 96 meters. Big Ben's watch is one of the largest in the world: the total weight of the mechanism is 5 tons. The diameter of each dial is 7 meters, the length of the hour hands is 2.7 meters, and the minute hands are 4.2 meters.
