It's a terrible checkpoint and the attitude towards people is not much worse! I spent 15 hours crossing the Tajikistan-Uzbekistan border in a car with Uzbek license plates, and I walked in the opposite direction in 2 hours. It takes 3 hours for one car to pass on the Uzbek side. Having rengen, dogs, they still force drivers to remove the door and trunk card trim. It's wild, to take off the trim on a new car for $30,000. After checking the cars with dogs with dirty paws, all the seats are dirty, no one cleans it or even apologizes for it. I have a bright interior and my car was ruined! There's a terrible stink in the neutral zone! There are no toilets and normal conditions. At night, the checkpoint on the Uzbek side does not work at all, it is being closed. From Tajikistan, too, no one regulates access to the barrier, taxi drivers are parked chaotically and there is no understanding of where the convoy is to cross the border. There is no proper toilet inside the Tajik border checkpoint, you can suffocate and get poisoned by such a smell. Judging by the video 2 years ago, no one is taking any action. It's the 21st century, and there are already X-rays, pre-registration, and many other devices. Study the experience of border crossings in other countries.

Terrible attitude towards people. My husband, a citizen of Uzbekistan, cannot enter the country, although the departure certificate from Tajikistan is already in place. He stays in the neutral zone for more than 14 hours, without food or water. The border guards ignore it, and no one answers the phone. Some cars are allowed selectively, the situation looks extremely suspicious. It is a great shame that they treat their citizens this way.

Extremely Negative Experience at the Oybek Customs Post with a Car We recently crossed the border through the Oybek customs post by car, and unfortunately our experience turned out to be extremely negative. The whole process took us 12 hours, which is absolutely unacceptable for passing through customs control. The main reason for this delay is the extremely slow work of customs officers on the Uzbek side. The queues for cars moved very sluggishly, the staff did not show any efficiency, and at times it seemed that they were not interested in speeding up the process at all. During these 12 hours, only about 15 cars were missed. We observed long breaks, lack of coordination, and an overall impression of extremely low efficiency. Moreover, some Uzbek customs officers were very rude in their communication, which only aggravated the already unpleasant situation. At the same time, it is worth noting that we had no complaints about the work of the Tajik side — their part of the process was much faster and more organized, and we crossed their section without much delay. Such a long wait causes serious discomfort and disrupts all travelers' plans. It was especially difficult for those who were with children, the elderly and sick people, for whom such a long stay in uncomfortable conditions became a real test. It is a pity that such an important checkpoint is operating so inefficiently. We hope that the customs administration will take measures to improve the organization of work and speed up the process of serving citizens.
