AsmalI Hotel is located in the historical center of Istanbul. Sultanahmet district. Nearby, a 5-minute walk to the Blue Mosque, Sultanahmet Square, a little further to Hagia Sophia, Basilica Cistern and Topkapi Palace. After a couple of blocks on the other side there is an embankment, you can see the sea. I recommend the state restaurant Fatih Belediyesi Çatladıkapı Sosyal Tesisleri on the embankment - very tasty and inexpensive. The portions are large. The biggest plus is the location of the hotel. The hotel is small, the rooms are old, the furniture is old, but the rooms are clean. Our windows faced the courtyard, and the external air conditioning units were working there, so it was noisy during the day. During the day in winter (January 2026), the rooms are heated with air conditioners, at night the batteries are turned on, the rooms have them. It was warm in the room (+23 feels like it), outside at night +4+5 Celsius, during the day +10-15. The breakfasts are rather European, not meager, you can eat, everything is delicious, it was always hot, fresh vegetables, fruits, cheeses, sausage, eggs, pastries, vegetable salads, spices and salt in moderation. Black tea, coffee, milk, fruit nectars. It is quite acceptable for unassuming guests. The staff is friendly. The rooms have everything you need. Hair dryer, safe, refrigerator, shower, toilet. We were in a triple room, and I liked that the beds are in separate rooms, although without doors, but it's still much more comfortable than in regular rooms, where all three beds are together and in one row in one room. Families with children and companies should be comfortable. I would like to have less audibility, the walls are too thin. Overall, we liked it, we only spent the night there. There is a lot to do during the day in Istanbul. The whole center came out, a lot of impressions. Maybe we'll come back here again. Thanks to the hotel for the warm welcome!

The Asmali hotel, 3* is located in Sultanahmet district, a minute from the Çatladıkapı bus stop, where the Havaist bus stops from Ist airport, near the Marmara Sea and the historical center of Istanbul. We were from June 1 to June 4, 2026, we paid 6617 rubles for 3 nights with breakfast until 10:30 a.m. (2205.67 rubles / 24.50 euros per night) - this price is because the ground floor. Booked through Ozon Travel. Our room number was 102. The windows faced the courtyard, it was quiet, in the shade. You can walk to the hotel from the Chamberlitash rapid tram stop about a kilometer south to the Marmara Sea. The road goes downhill, it's convenient to walk. I liked the hotel as a whole. This is an old building, the furniture in the room is in the French style. King-size bed, very comfortable mattress, upholstered headboard, 4 pillows. I slept like a baby, very soundly. My husband said that I was snoring like crazy, smeared him with saliva, hugged and groped everything. I don't remember anything. The mattress is super, I don't remember such a cool one in any hotel. There is only a tropical watering can in the shower, there is no usual hose. But it's super durable, you can't break it. The room has free air conditioning, Wi-Fi, a safe and a refrigerator, and no deposit is required. There is liquid soap, shampoo, shower gel, and two rolls of toilet paper in the bathroom. They put a large liter bottle of drinking water in the refrigerator, tea, 3-in-1 coffee, and sugar on the table. The kettle is at the reception. As for breakfast: the food is tasteless. The coffee is bitter, the juices are diluted, just sweetened water, it is impossible to drink. They saved themselves with tea, hard-boiled eggs, fresh cucumbers, Turkish red sausage, shortbread cookies and halva. There is a rooftop terrace with views of the Marmara Sea. But you have to climb there on foot to the fifth or sixth floor via a spiral staircase with high steps. There is no elevator. Very helpful staff, friendly and warm-hearted. They tried to surround us with care and homely comfort.

I've stayed at this hotel twice. I am very pleased. The location is great - 5 minutes away from the Blue Mosque and Hagia Sophia. Tram stop, Marmaray, Basilica Cistern and Theodosia are all nearby. Although the place is a tourist destination, the street where the hotel is located is very quiet and peaceful. The owner is wonderful!!! Any question is solved with pleasure, prompts! The breakfasts are delicious, something. anyone can find it for themselves according to their taste. The rooms are clean, free of odors, dampness and, God forbid, insects. The linen is clean and fresh. Not new, but with no signs of wear. Beautiful rooftop terrace with stunning views of the Bosphorus and the Blue Mosque. I decided for myself not to look for any more hotels for stops in Istanbul. Price = service quality - adequate and expected. No surprises or surprises. Except pleasant ones! Many thanks to the host and the staff in general. I will come back to you next year!
