The oldest surviving Arco d'Augusto in northern Italy marks the entrance to the city, for those who arrived by the via Flaminia road. This route was laid by Consul Flaminio in 220 BC and connected Rome with Rimini. The city gates and the arch of honor were erected in 27 BC by the will of the Senate in honor of the praise of Octavian Augustus, as evidenced by the inscription located above the arch. Perhaps not everyone knows that the current via del Corso in Rome is part of the ancient Flaminia road, originating in the capital and ending in Rimini.

I recommend taking photos at sunset, it turns out very beautifully, though rarely without people))

It's fascinating. The oldest Roman arch in Italy. It's worth a look, a touch. There is parking nearby on the street, free on weekends
