I paid with my card and left, after just a couple of steps at the door of the pharmacy, I opened the package and tasted the marshmallow and realized that it was different from the Strepils that I had used before. I translated the instructions through the translator and found out that this is not a medicine, but a dietary supplement. I went back to the pharmacy and told the same employee that it wasn't medicine. He insisted that it was a medicine. Although it clearly says on the box that it is a supplement, he said, "This is how medicines are sold in Turkey. There is no other way, just these Strepsils." I asked if they could give me another throat remedy. He said they had no other options. Then Leila, an employee who speaks Russian, said that in Turkey all throat lozenges are classified as additives, and that I had to check the box in advance. I find this response from the staff unacceptable. I trusted the pharmacy and did not expect to be misled when buying a sore throat remedy.
