Service is good, menu is mainly Armenian food (which is excellent for tourists to try something local) courtyard is in shadow of the trees and even in sunny day you can find some relax here… and all these 5 minutes away from the coty centre.
There are places that make you come back, and then there are people who make you come back to those places. Albert the waiter is one of a kind, professional, witty, attentive and caring gentleman who did make sure we come back again and again! Welcome to Abovian 12! Delicious! Cozy! Authentic!
I didn’t like their attitude towards me as a client when I want to change seats in another place I see a lot of free tables, I ask the waiter - they are free, can I change seats, he says from the beginning yes and then the manager does not allow it because of the principle
The atmosphere is 10 hinkaleks out of 10. A very beautiful place, which is located in the courtyard. The entrance through the souvenir shop adds to the entourage, as if into Armenian Narnia. The menu is dominated by national cuisine. All the dishes we ordered were delicious. Coffee lovers in our company appreciated the taste of the drink. There is no children's menu, but you can find items for a small child. There are vegetarian dishes. All the waiters are friendly and will help with the choice. The entourage certainly deserves special praise. A free-standing bar, a stage with carved instruments, a dovecote, a charming fountain (I can go on for a long time). And an art gallery. You can't smoke at the tables, you need to move to a separate place. The check is average in the city for a restaurant in the center. We spent 18,500 drams for 4 people (dish + drink).
An incredibly beautiful place, with its own atmosphere and history!
The landing locations are just incredibly inspiring 😍
Very tasty cuisine and a huge selection of dishes!
For the first time in 26 years, I liked those dishes from our Armenian cuisine that I didn't like before! Fast feed, you can take very beautiful photos! Clean and tidy!
Of course, the staff is sometimes not always perfect, but in 4 out of 5 visits, we came across good waiters.
An amazing place, very beautiful, unusual, with its own special flavor and atmosphere. Delicious food, fast service, large portions. We traveled through Italy, decided to pass the time and were pleasantly surprised by this institution. The attentive manager helped to organize the charging for the phone and even gave a tour of this institution, it was very interesting. The only thing is that they did not immediately find the entrance, but it's great that everyone in Yerevan knows Russian 😃
The best restaurant in the center: lamb, lamb cradle, salad - everything is delicious and with a real taste of food, not seasonings. I really liked the courtyard, the service. Tour groups come to the restaurant every 5 minutes to see the old house. It was also interesting for us to look at people from different countries, in 30 minutes we counted 10 groups - a lot!
Well done! Keep it up !
During my week-long stay in Armenia, I visited this restaurant 4 times. I liked everything, because this place combines at the same time: an excellent location in the city center, an authentic interior, a varied menu with delicious local dishes and not only cuisines, a wide wine list, professional polite staff ready to coordinate you on the menu and not only. I will definitely come back.
It's a great place. It is located right in the center of Yerevan, but not on the move. If you don't know or don't accidentally go to a souvenir shop, you won't find it. The staff is friendly, ready to tell you what and how. The kitchen is simply amazing, when you sit there and such aromas swirl around you that your mouth is watering - you want to sit there forever. It is located in the courtyard between the houses, part of the roof is covered with vines, the other part is covered with shields from the rain. We tried to get there three times last year, but it was always busy, we had to book in advance. This year we have already been 4 times at different times, we got there easily.
I recommend you to visit.
A very cool place! The meat is the most tender (even chicken breast), salads are fresh, the wine is young and pleasant)
The order was accepted quickly, when fully planted, all the kebabs and stewed knuckle in wine were brought in 25 minutes, cool!
The waiters are obviously sewn up, but they do their job. They will tell you what is the most delicious, they will be served quickly, you do not need to wait for them, because they are always there.
It's very beautiful around! We were sitting under a vine on a sunny day and it was cool and fresh) nearby you can buy souvenirs, which is convenient.
Delicious, beautiful, atmospheric 10/10. A very pleasant place)
A wonderful place!
The most cozy atmosphere!
It's even amazing how simple it is in a fairy tale - you walk down the street of Yerevan with such an active movement, go into a souvenir shop and find yourself in a green oasis, a heavenly place!
It was very pleasant to relax and have a delicious lunch in such an unusual place.
The service is attentive and fast. The food is all freshly prepared and delicious!
I have a pleasant impression.
I will recommend it!
One of my favorite places in Yerevan, I always bring guests here. Especially good, of course, in the warmer months - a wonderful garden. Armenian cuisine, very tasty, and very hospitable and friendly staff. If you are going to come on Friday evening or on the weekend, it is better to book a table in advance, there may not be places.
Delicious local cuisine, fast service, professional friendly staff and amazing surroundings. Although the interior is beautiful, the best places are in the courtyard in summer and spring. There is also a wine cellar, a dovecote, and a souvenir shop. It is mandatory to visit both those who are passing through Yerevan and those who have been here for a long time.
The entrance is not easy to find, it is hidden in a souvenir shop. There are no questions about food: everything is delicious, the portions are solid, the serving is fast, the prices are generally moderate. The impression was blurred by the waiter asking for tips in excess of the usual 10% for restaurants in Armenia
The atmosphere is wonderful (location, courtyard). That's where the advantages ended.
A typical tourist destination.
Guides bring whole groups of foreign tourists here. One by one.
The food is terrible.
Unlike the establishments in Yerevan, the portions are scanty. There is one rice in the dolma.
Tjvjik is just a meager portion. I have never seen anything like this in Armenia.
Khachapuri in Adjarian - whole eggs were beaten in, not yolks.
If you try to explain that this is not how the dish is prepared, Karen's manager will manipulate the fact that the waiter will have to pay for this dish (why on earth?!).
All the blame for an improperly prepared dish will be shoved on anyone, just not on the responsibility of the institution.
A wonderful place with a wonderful atmosphere! A delicious restaurant and a very authentic souvenir gallery 😻👍💥
The waiters are sweet, the food is top notch!
Always a full landing on the terrace outside, my friend and I were delighted!
The place is very attractive, especially in the evening. I did not immediately find it, fortunately the iconic ones suggested that the entrance was through the Art Gallery (souvenir shop). This is really the best barbecue in Yerevan. A portion of shish kebab is relatively medium in size, but everything else is large. Especially potatoes in Zherevensky, no one regrets)
I am very happy with the place, for a barbecue only here.
The choice of beer, however, is meager, and there are not many positions, but still there are standard bottled ones.
A very cozy place. I recommend trying the lamb, and in general everything is very tasty. We have been to this cafe many times. I really liked the cooked food. My daughter is an artist and she was very impressed with some of the paintings.
A very good restaurant, authentic, there are interesting backgrounds for photos, the cuisine is delicious and local, everything is well salted, there are a lot of different wines. The service is at the highest level!
Interesting design, good waiters. According to the taste qualities of the menu - for a maximum of 3 (I got the impression that they take the cheapest possible products). Not all dishes are well and tasty cooked. Of all that was taken there, khachapuri was only quite tasty (but also without salt).Do not take grilled vegetables, there are no seasonings and they are undercooked.
An incredible place. Incredible cuisine. It is beautiful, atmospheric, authentic and divinely delicious. If you are in Yerevan even passing through, do not be lazy, visit this place.
This is one of the coziest places I've ever been. There is magic and magic here. Kitchen for five. The prices are reasonable. I recommend it - this place is a must-visit in Yerevan.
The place is very picturesque, if you come in the afternoon, you can eat good meat inexpensively and deliciously, but in the evening, with a full landing, the kitchen is apparently sewn up, everything was overcooked, fish in general coals, I do not advise for dinner, but lunch is the best thing.
A magnificent restaurant, in a cozy courtyard under a canopy of vines, here you forget that you are in the city. But the main thing is very tasty and very large portions.
Thank you very much!
A wonderful place, delicious meat and the tastiest pomegranate wine, The atmosphere is also pleasing, gatherings in your own landscaped courtyard, which is unusual, the place is quite popular, the planting is almost complete, but the blues are taken out as quickly as possible, you don't have time to wait. The kitchen is open, you can see how the chefs are working.
Super breakfast.
I do not know what you can do with scrambled eggs to make it so delicious!!!
Freshly baked bread, wonderful products and real hospitality.
And, of course, the atmosphere of the Yerevan courtyard in the city center.
A wonderful kitchen, an amazing place, very atmospheric, starting with the fact that the entrance is through a souvenir shop, and the smoking area has been turned into an exhibition of paintings. The best place I visited in Yerevan!
Great restaurant!
We were in the courtyard.
Cool authentic atmosphere, delicious food, cheerful waiters (special greetings to Albert!)
Now I advise everyone)
It's a wonderful place. Very atmospheric. Very tasty cuisine. Waiters with humor) I recommend this restaurant to everyone. There is also a great souvenir shop, through which the passage to the restaurant.
I didn't have time to taste the dishes enough to express my attitude to the whole kitchen, but the scrambled eggs with apricots were cool, the pumpkin soup was also delicious, the place was so cozy in the atmosphere that I want to come back again
To sit, have lunch, roll, not to see the crowds of people and the fuss, relax in the backyard with a dovecote? Excellent lamb kebab, vegetable salad with cream sauce, these are their finest tortillas with herbs and cheese, a boat of eggplant minced meat, unconditional tender dolma..What should I say? We have to try. The service is decent. In a set of homemade tinctures, mulberry for an amateur, pear and apricot will send the young lady downhill. The proximity to the souvenir shop and the general atmosphere of Armenian sincerity will make you squish with a tourist nose - how are they? It's a great place!
They recommended the restaurant as an atmospheric place with good cuisine. Atmospheric, yes. Retro style with natural interior elements. The waiters are friendly and humorous (he served us like that)I do not know Armenian cuisine, so I order intuitively. In particular , I ordered Hashlama . This dish in Central Asian cuisine usually represents boiled stew with vegetables and spices, very appetizing in appearance (see photo). As a result, they served just a boiled piece of mutton of a disgusting gray color, just pulled out of the broth, carelessly chopped, slightly salted. I regret that I did not take a picture. Of the rest, 2 slices (not even slices) of boiled green pepper and 2 half-stewed slices of tomato lay modestly in the four corners of the plate... Based on the fact that I do not know Armenian cuisine, I thought that this is how it should be... The alienness of gnawing and waiting for the arrival of pleasure... I didn't wait. The wife ordered pork stewed in wine. As a result, instead of the taste of wine, the taste of Burnt coals and hard undercooked vegetables in the side dish. This is how you will have to answer questions from friends on arrival about Armenian cuisine... Like bullshit, I had to lean more on Georgian. Fortunately, it is widely represented here....
Great patio atmosphere with a touch of creativity)The staff is polite, but in the evening they waited a long time for the order to be accepted, the food is delicious, the portions are good, the price tag is sane.
It's a very good place! The prices are normal. The menu is varied. The staff is friendly. Weakening at altitude. It is very cozy and informative. A very tasty barbecue. Nearby you can buy souvenirs (though it's a bit expensive).
We were there today. What can I say... The interior is lovely, the food is delicious. But! In Yerevan, 10% of the service is immediately included in the bill in every institution, and they even write it on the menu. When the waiter brought the bill (and before that he was whispering to the cashier, looking at us), he said that the waiter's service was paid separately. I've read this in reviews about other restaurants, but here it is. So I'm shooting 2 stars for this.
A very interesting place, atmospheric interior, old house, old courtyard. I recommend lamb shank aged in red wine, with cognac and with a friendly company ... mmm, bombically
A very nice restaurant with its own flavor, without any pathos. The entrance is through the shop. Paintings are hanging, ceramics are on display, water is bubbling. The kitchen is good enough
Very tasty national cuisine. There is a very large selection of dishes. Everything you've tried is delicious. Pleasant atmosphere and music. And a great souvenir shop. We bought a lot of rare things.
A wonderful cafe that you will find only if you know it! Cozy firewood in the greenery, pleasant friendly atmosphere! The waiters are responsive, speak Russian 👌
A beautiful gift shop, but the prices are too high. There are many cozy cafes in the courtyard and on the 2nd floor. It's a very cozy place, I would come back.
We were guided by the reviews, but we were not impressed, there is no colorful taste, the dishes seem to lack spices, seasonings are somehow bland, this applies to both eggplant rolls and mushroom cream soup, the chicken kebab is good, khachapuri is dry and a little too salty. In general, of course, everything is not critical, but for its price you can find much better in Yerevan.
The interior is pleasant, fresh flowers on the tables, but not at all.
The most authentic cafe in the city. It is very cozy, you feel "at home". We went in for tea and desserts, so I can't say anything about the food, but what we ordered was excellent. The service is also good, everything is very fast. This is a place that you definitely need to run into, even if you arrived for a couple of days
