The administration of the exclusion zone collected part of the monuments and exhibits from the abandoned settlements of the Chernobyl exclusion zone to fill the museum. They were installed in different parts of the memorial alley, which was laid in the central part of the city of Chernobyl. The entrance to the Alley of Memory is preceded by the figure of a Trumpeting Angel, the Alley itself is assembled from the signs of all settlements of the Chernobyl exclusion zone. At one end of it is a memorial sign to the liquidators. "The third angel sounded, and a great star fell from heaven, burning like a lamp, and fell on a third of the rivers and on the springs of water. The name of this star was wormwood; and the third part of the waters became wormwood, and many of the people died of the waters because they became bitter" (Rev 8:10-11)
