Radovasnica monastery is a monastery of the Serbian Orthodox Church, Diocese of Sabac.[1] it represents an immovable cultural good as a cultural monument. Evgenia ABT is a nun of the monastery. The monastery is located under the CER mountain, on a site surrounded by centuries-old oak, beech and linden trees, in the village of Radovasnica. The temple of the Holy Archangels Michael and Gabriel is mentioned in the oldest records from the Radovašnica river. It is believed that the monastery is an endowment of King Dragutin Nemanjić, who ruled from 1282. by 1316. years. The monastery on CER occupied a prominent place before Turkish times. It was built in the Raska style of broken stone, covered with shingles. The first written mention of the monastery is a Turkish census from 1548. in our sources, it is indirectly mentioned in 1541. years. Certainly, the monastery was built before the arrival of the Turks and is an endowment of Dragutin Nemanjić. In the Turkish census of 1600. and 1624. another name of this monastery is Kosanik. The name may be related to the Old Town of Kosana, whose ruins are located at the top of Cer. In old records, the monastery is also called the Temple of St. Archangel Michael, or Michael and Gabriel, on the Radovansčica or Radovantica river.
