AVOID THIS PLACE — BAD HAIRCUT AND A REFUND PROMISE THAT WAS NEVER HONORED. I had been growing my hair for a long time and specifically wanted to keep it long, just make it look more stylish and well-groomed. I was looking for a good barbershop inside Dubai Mall and chose Chaps & Co because the reviews looked very positive. I also deliberately chose an experienced barber with good reviews — Hamdan. Before he started, I clearly explained and emphasized that I REALLY WANTED TO KEEP MY HAIR LONG. I did not want a short haircut. At first he cut only a little, then more and more, and by the end he had removed more than half of the length I had grown. I was obviously disappointed, but I thought, okay, hair will grow back. The real shock came the next day after I washed my hair and the professional styling was gone. That was when I could clearly see how badly the haircut had been done. I’m attaching photos showing how uneven the back was — and the rest of the haircut looked just as bad. I came back the next day, showed them the result and asked them to fix it and refund the haircut. They corrected the uneven areas, which of course meant making the hair even shorter. To be fair, I have no complaints about the beard — the beard trim was actually done very well. Regarding the haircut, I was told that the money would be refunded to my bank account. They even asked me for my banking details and confirmed that they would process the refund. More than two weeks have now passed. No refund. They have also stopped replying to my messages. At this point, it feels extremely dishonest. If they had no intention of refunding the haircut, they should not have asked for my bank details and promised that the refund would be processed. Unfortunately, this experience also explains why I would not trust them again, despite all the positive reviews. My advice: look for another barbershop where your requests are actually listened to and where customer service does not disappear as soon as there is a problem. Barber: Hamdan.
